Thinking the next stage of EpiNurse, four Nepali nurses and 4 Indonesian nurses visited Kochi, Japan, another disaster prone area and joined the 10-day program entitled, "Sakura Science Project: Introduction to disaster nursing and innovation" funded by Japan Science and Technology Agency from March, 3-12, 2017. They attended lectures and a simulation training at University of Kochi, and visited the Disaster Risk Reduction section at the Kochi prefecture government office, Kochi Nursing Association, hospital, NPO for the disabled, and community center for gender equality. During and close to the end of the program, the nurses discussed and made action plans for disaster mitigation. Finally, they were certified as newly admitted members of Sakura Science Club.
