EpiNurse got a great deal of coverage in JST (Japan Science Technology Agency) News.
The report states "EpiNurse not only conduct monitoring but also care for the vulnerable people in community."
All participants of the research were local nurses who worked and lived in the community and were familiar with conditions of the study areas. The participatory approach contributes to development and continuous enhancement of sustainability in communities. The cultural gap between the survivors and disaster responders require a flexible communication channel. Being sensitive to unique cultural behaviors and traits will increase the understanding, appreciation, and respect for cultural differences and similarities within, among, and between groups.
